The Core of Relationships? [Because I felt like sharing]

I felt like sharing what I posted in Gaiaonline here, don't comment if you have nothing good to say since I'll probably just delete it :]

This was just a response to someone's comment and question about how someone she has never seen in person can affect her so much emotionally.

Don't mind me if I'm bit too edgy with my comment [it shouldn't be o.O].

However, it annoys me when people immediately disregard a relationship of any degree, be it friendship or whatnot, simply because it lacks the physical aspect of seeing each other face to face. What difference does it make if one doesn't see the other in person when if you've talked to the person for several months or even years? Sure, one can say they may simply be playing a persona -- however, there are so few that can endure such acting for a long period of time without their true self creating cracks on the surface of their mask. Sure, one can say that not all people are that perceptive -- however, that doesn't mean people do not have enough logic or sense to notice when a person becomes inconsistent/suspicious. Most especially when a person is in contact with their online friend for more than a month! If they are truly a friend one would be more perceptive to these inconsistencies! One's utmost attention to their friend/companion is one of the keys to a true relationship!

Besides, who said that those around you physically are as honest and true as those who mingle with others online or even through letters as pen pals? One can always question whether or not a friend you see day-to-day is speaking the truth! For all you know, your friend may be nothing more than a manipulative fiend! For all you know, your family just wants to strip you away of your free will and individuality -- forcing you to conform to their mindset. For all you know, everyone around you is simply forcing you to agree that the world is defined only in what you can see and that one should cut off all relationships where one does not see the face of their comrades during any length/period of time -- that the key to life is to be shallow and close-minded!

The truth is nowhere near that!
The physical aspect is not the heart of relationships!
No, the core of lies in the psychology!

When one is able to let go of the physical embodiment of those they hold dear... true care, affection, and sympathy manifest. No matter how visually appealing they look, no matter how far they are, no matter how long they're gone -- the bond shared between each other remains strong.

Heres my little theory on how Sylar goes about gaining powers:

Okay consider this:
Sylar's original power is intuitive comprehension. This power allows him to easily learn how things work almost instantaneously without actually conducting any experiments or further study... he just KNOWS. Note that I said [b]learn[/b] not just know... otherwise he wouldn't be able to fix complex watches with ease.

Now, remember he stole the power of telekinesis? After breaking the guy's skull open saying that the person was broken... he most likely took the brain out to STUDY it. His intuitive comprehension did point out the "fault" in the person, but I'm pretty sure that he himself has to hone his skill so... he probably took the time to study the guy's brain and then incorporated that portion into his own... which I'm fairly sure was by DNA infusion or simply something that altered his own brain that would grant him that power.

After gaining the power of telekinesis... he was able to hone and master it quickly because he has intuitive comprehension. So his original power actually gives him the advantage of mastering abilities quickly and therefore amplifying their power to the max [Hell... he can quickly stop bullets]. Henceforth, which would explain his little "you don't know what power is"/"you're not worthy of your power" attitude.

Anyhow... with telekinesis in mind all mastered and amplified, he can now control a wide variety of matter be it boulders or small particles.
If you add the two together well... you now have a person who both knows how things work [especially the brain] and can manipulate matter as he desires... therefore being able to perform "operations" [i.e. cutting peoples' heads open]. By "operations" I mean... alter his own brain structure. So rather than having to resort to manually re-structuring his brain and such [which is the source of the heroes' powers... Dr. Suresh said so himself - "It's all in the brain"] he can do it telepathically!

And there you have it... Sylar has, like Peter [power absorbtion] and Hatian [power negation], a godly ass ability... which he can use in however creative way he can... and thats how I believe he absorbs peoples' powers.

Lol... speaking of Peter... doesn't it make you wonder now if he himself absorbed intuitive comprehension? Hrm... maybe there are some powers you simply can't absorb...

Two links just in case newgrounds won't work for you. This flash film is a parody of the whole obnoxious dream of becoming a teen popstar [obviously a plague at the moment]. It's pretty exact in it's criticism and has some cynical humor to it too :]
I find it funny that even if you show this to one of those "dreamers" they'd just get mad at you and disagree with everything. Then again, the flash film did say they need to be brainless retards to become popstars in the first place, duh.

Eh. I don't know why people even bother saying that Shinigami are homosexual because for one... the Shinigami Jealous was shown to have had intimate feelings for the human Misa. Rem and Ryuuku simply chose same gender book carriers just because it'd make them feel more comfortable. It's just like guys being best friends with other guys or girls being best friends with other girls... that doesn't mean they're gay, it's just the gender they're more comfortable with. Aside from that... anyone who argues Shinigami are homo because of Rem's feelings towards Misa. She's only protective of her because she and Jealous were close to each other and because Jealous gave up his life force just for Misa, it would mean she has some significance. It'd only be logical to protect something your close friend fought hard to keep. Meh, that's just my opinions on the matter so eh... accept or discard, up to all of you.

Shorter easily readable version:

1. The Shinigami "Jealous" showed intimate feelings for the human named "Misa".
2. What the hell is so gay about choosing your close friend/notebook holder to be the same gender as you? That's like saying people are gay for having the same gender as their dorm mate. Idiots.
3. Rem is overprotective of Misa because Jealous died for her and Rem still can't figure out exactly what was so special about Misa that made him sacrifice his life force for her. Rem and Jealous were close, she often visited him to check up on what he was doing.
